ACE is hosting the Returning to Spirit [RTS] Workshops for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people in a weekend format for those educators, professionals and community members who are unable to attend the traditional 5-Day, weekday workshops.
The RTS workshops, are based on the Indian Residential School experience and transformational in nature.
The ACE-RTS Weekend Workshops, for both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal participants will be held at R. B. Russell High School, on February 25-27 and March 17-20, 2011. More information about the prorgam can be found in the Brochure and from the Poster.

The 5th Annual "Honouring Our Traditions, Celebrating Our Future" ACE Education Awards Banquet will held at the Victoria Inn, 1808 Wellington Avenue on Febraury 17, 2011

The ACE Nomination Committee would like to announce the recipients of the 5th Annual ACE EDucation Awards.
The 8th Annual "Hearing Our Voices: Hearts~Hands~Minds, Across the Generations" Conference will held at the Victoria Inn, 1808 Wellington, February 17-18, 2011. Teachers, students, elders and the public are welcome to join in the festivities, workshops and learning. Youth oriented workshops are being held both afternoons.
The Keynote Speaker on Thursday, February 17 is David Robertson.
The Plenary Session will discuss the use of traditional teachings, culture and language and their delivery by traditional, modern and alternate methods. The Panel consists of Duncan Mercredi, Jessica Mc Cann and Victoria Elaine McIntosh.

The Aboriginal Circle of Educators and Kateri Returning to Spirit have come together to present Returning to Spirit, workshops that address the effects of the residential school experience within and without the Aboriginal community.
The undertaking is groundbreaking as it ts the first time where a concerted effort is being taken to ensure both Aboriginals and non-Aboriginals can take the workshops and work through issues that will lead to a coming together in healing and friendship.
