Returning to Spirit

This is an innovative program that has been developed to deal with the effects of the residential school experience on individuals.

It is not political or religious in nature. This particular set of workshops have been developed with the needs of educators in mind. The week long workshops are being held in the summer and are available for both aboriginal and non-aboriginal participants.

The Aboriginal Circle of Educators and Kateri Returning to Spirit are co-hosting this historic program--the first time the two components are presented in conjunction with one another.

The Aboriginal Workshop is being held at St. Matthews Anglican Church,  641 St. Matthews Avenue, which houses the ACE office, from July 12-16, 2010.

Returning to Spirit Aboriginal Workshop Registration Form

The Non-Aboriginal Workshop is is being held at Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 794 Ellice Avenue, which also houses the Winnipeg office of Returning to Spirit, from August 23-27, 2010.

Manitoba Education has been approached to determine whether this professional development opportunity can be recognised by the province.
